The only suggestion I would make when ordering the antenna is to use standard USPS shipping (cheapest). I ordered on Friday (comes from Oregon) and received it on Monday (to NC). Very quick shipping.

Agreed.

If anyone ends up talking with them again, mention our site. I'd be glad to welcome them here, to see if this is somewhere they'd like to support via their presence and maybe work with us to create other products we can use. Seems like the kind of company that would excel in an environment like ours.

Not really. Whatever works for ya :)

Maybe stress that we're an enthusiastic group and that they're antenna is being really well received, as is their customer service? That and if they'd like to stop by, we'd love to welcome them.

Looks like you do have a good thing going here! I am betting the "hes so sad' forum the one I am also banned from? Those guys are touchy.

Oh yeah, I am the guy from CravenSpeed.

Let me know how I can help.

Welcome to the "Kinder Gentler" Raptor forum Kellen. Getting ready to order a Craven Antenna myself.

Are they 1/8 wavelength antennas? ... I trust our members that say they haven't noticed any loss in sensitivity... but I was wondering what you had to say about that topic and if you had done any studies on receiver sensitivity with your antenna.

Thanks! You will find this bunch of guys a heck of a lot more down to earth than the "Other" one... Oh, and welcome to the "Banned" <G>.

Welcome on board Kellen...

I am kinda interested in Falcon's question, though I suspect the answer is no... I am actually doubtful if the OE antenna is 1/8th (given the fact that it has to operate in both the AM and FM frequencies), though it might be on the AM side...

I predict that the reason there is no drop off in FM reception is that whip antennas are not really designed for FM... and people may not be reporting dropoffs in AM because AM is more forgiving, sound quality is generally worse, and not to many people even listen to it anymore...
