rear reverse off the trailer hitch is how I did my duallies. The center wire in the cluster on the hitch cluster goes to your positive and the thick white goes to your neg or you can just ground to the frame. Just did this mod two days ago if you have any questions PM me.

here, on frf
the reverse wire is blue/white at the bcm in the passenger kick panel. i dont know if it changes color at the light itself or the hitch wire harness. but i would probably recommend a relay.

Car, are you thinking a SPST relay?

---------- Post added at 09:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:37 PM ----------

I'm looking for a wiring diagram that does the following...

- aux lights are connected to the reverse lights to provide extra lighting when backing up.
- aux lights are connected to aux 4 switch so I can light up the area behind the truck when parked.

I've searched the forum and am coming up empty handed. Does anyone know where I can find a solution?

I did that very thing to mine, but added a waterproof switch next to my trailer plug, so as to act as a work light. I ran the power off of the trailer constant, added a relay that is switched by a tap from the reverse lights themselves. I can switch the lights on/off manually or they activate when the vehicle is in reverse

Thanks Dyno. So, dual sources (power from reverse lights and from aux switch) connected to the same tap?

Thanks Ice. I guess another alternative is two use two relays with +12 tied together like this....
