I just installed the RetraxPro XR. How do you latch down partially open? Seems there is a lock pin that goes in a hole when fully closed but when open the pin can’t grab anything and the cover slides.

It looks like only the power slide model has the partial open feature. Would have to drill some holes for the lock pin in the track to do it on the manual slide model

Are you not able to get it to latch in place at all partially open? Or just talking about being able to moving it once latched when partially open?

You should be able to get it to latch pretty firmly in any position partially open, but not completely lock it. If it is sliding itself once latched partially open I would re-check your install.

It only latches down in the fully closed position which looks to be as designed because the latch has an adjustable lock pin that goes into a square hole in the rail to keep the top from sliding open. There are no other holes in the rail for that lock pin so if I try to latch down when partially open the pin just hits the rail and can’t hold anything

i have the XR and you can latch it down in any position it just requires a bit more pressure on the latch for some reason. I thought it didn't work at first too but you have to push down pretty hard and i thought i was going to break it but it works just fine.

Adjust the small Allen pin on both sides that is the pin that goes into the hole at the end.. I had to back mine out a full turn and then it closes and latches at any point along the slide using pressure.
