Resale/trade-in price?

I know this has been discussed earlier this summer. I have a 2018 Gen 2 802A with every option except hood graphics. White, 39k miles, RPG 1.5in level and Method NV305 Black wheels zero offset, also a new set of BFG KO2 315/70R17's with under 500 miles on them. Clean and clear title, no accidents, garage kept pavement princess. I've identified the dealer that I'll be ordering my gen 3 from, and I haven't mentioned I'm considering trading in my Gen 2 yet. I've looked at KBB and NADA, but not sure if their numbers are realistic. What price should I expect for my truck for the trade-in and also if I should list private party?

Side note: I'm in central Florida

If you don't trust KBB, then I would take it to a local carmax or "show me the vin". Getting several offers will give you more accuracy that opinions of random people. In the end though, you're likely better off with the dealer you're buying from due to tax implications.

Stay away from carmax, they will lowball you.

That was my exact thought, I would prefer to get the tax break and only have to pay the tax on the difference, just looking to get an idea on how much I should expect on the trade. I don't want them coming in super low since I'm not paying ADM on the gen 3

Here's the problem.

I custom ordered a new truck in July. Dealer gave me trade in price then but said will have to "adjust" once truck comes in. Truck just came in and their trade in price has dropped by $4000.

But now they got me. I have to accept what they give and lose $3500 in tax savings or have to sell privately for $3500 more just to break even. Im trying to sell privately and will even take less than that just so dealer doesnt get my trade in.

How much did they offer you on the trade now? I'm willing to turn my trade in early to avoid this exact scenario

I would say 58-60k
Wheels and tires wont add any trade on value. Nor will it being a grandma driven garage kept never seen dirt sales pitch.

agree with above

dealers dont seem to care about condition on trade in unless its really rough, they didnt even drive mine.

You'd get the most from selling yourself, but if you don't want to deal with it, get offers from Vroom and from Autonation. I just went through this and all of them lowballed me and the offer from Vroom was decent and Autonation was higher. This wasn't for a Raptor but for an 18' Yukon that I just wanted gone. I requested the offer online, went to the nearest Autonation dealership after I liked the offer, I sat there while they inspected the car, they did the ppwk while I waited and handed me a check when they were done. Someone told me Vroom might send you a lower check and what choice do you have but to accept it.
