ITS HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's funny you mention the headlights ducati, I drove my '85 to the dealership, picked up the Raptor, and drove the raptor home. Once my fiance was home we drove back to the dealership in the Raptor, and she drove the Raptor home and I drove my '85 home. Driving both trucks back to back in the dark, ZERO difference in headlight output between the '85 and the '12 LOL. I'm really hoping I can sneak a set of your HID's in under my tax return lol.
Already did my 1st mod....peel the Freehold Ford sticker off the tailgate Tomorrow I'll remove the tags and plate frames. Friday/Saturday the pile of mods go on, and Sunday the clear bra gets installed.
The dealership was actually very cool once I arrived, and the courtesy delivery salesman went through all the features and gizmos and gadgets with me. There's 1 teeny scratch on the tailgate but I think it'll buff out and it's right next to the bumper so it's not in direct sight. After all this wait, I wasn't going to make a big deal over it, I just wanted my friggin truck already lol
More later, spent too much time driving the truck tonight. SVT's engineering is standing out, this thing handles NOTHING like I would have expected such a big tank to handle like, it soaks up curbs like I ran over an ant, the ride is sooooo smooth, and the creature comforts are just downright silly. I LOVE the air conditioned seats, and since it was over 60* today I did get to try them out lol. Backup camera is very awesome to have but is really going to take me some getting used to using. The front camera is very neat as well. I also LOVE the rims 100x's more in person, and the hood graphic I'm really digging. And all the apps on the productivity screen and nav screen are cool. Weather, maps, traffic, sports, movie listings, gas prices, it goes on and on, you guys were right, I'm glad I did bite the bullet and make the jump to Nav despite the cost!
Power is actually very respectible for such a big truck too. Haven't floored it yet, only about 3/4 throttle, but it does get up and move. Very comparable to my street HD truck setup with the s/c 5.4. Certainly no tire roaster, I'm pretty hard to impress in that department when my other truck is a 722 rwhp low 10 second HD truck lol, but street truck wise, it passes the test for my needs.
Pics and more details later, but I'm all grins! Got a busy weekend planned for modding and playing with the truck!
