I keep reading here about problems that 2017 GEN2 owners have - oil leaks, failure to start, transmission problems, on and on - and I really can't help but wonder whether the complexity of a twin turbo V6 powerplant is the problem.
On the other hand maybe the demise of SVT and the institution of Ford Performance is the problem.
Either way, there are multiple threads here about GEN2 problems. That can't be ignored.
And maybe Ford isn't ignoring it, and that's why the EcoBoost twin turbo V6 will have only two model years before being replaced.
IF, that is, this info about the 7.0L V8 can be believed.
