but with that RTR F150 w/ 600hp V8...can't imagine a new Raptor with a V8 will be far behind.

Putting a V8 in the new Raptor would show that Ford is finally listening to the real Raptor aficionados. They would still make the V6 model for the street racers, but the ones that know what the truck is for would be shittin in tall cotton......

I am a newbie to the Raptor community, and this is my first v-6 truck since my beloved Toyota Tacoma back in 1997...man I loved that truck. However, I have yet to regret my purchase as my '18 has more than enough power, especially since I added the pedal commander and chipwerke. Admittedly, I am an old school guy who appreciates a v-8 truck just as much as any other red blooded american. Yet, my truck is damn fast and the smiles it puts on my face supersedes any need to "hear" a v-8 rumble. I have been driving like Ms. Daisy since ownership 1.5 weeks ago, so my mpg average has been close to 20mpg which I never got close to in my Toyota Tundra. After a 12 year Army career, and multiple deployments overseas, I am simply thankful to be alive and am grateful that I am in a position to purchase a Raptor. Therefore, while there will always be wants and wishes for bigger and better things, I am perfectly content with my truck in it's v-6 form and don't lose sleep over a sound that it doesn't possess. Life is fragile and I try to not sweat the small stuff when there are people that are homeless, less fortunate, kids with cancer, etc.... I just wake up everyday and gives thanks for another day here on earth, and feel so fortunate to be able to own a $70k truck when so many people are struggling to find food today.

First off, thank you for your service!!!

I've been driving like Ms Daisy as well but 15.6 is what the display shows, actual calculation is probably 1 mpg lower. Guess it all depends on the type of driving.

Back on topic. Happy with my 6 cyl. I'll drive my 8cyl GTO if I want to hear engine noise. :D

I hate to break it to you, but Ford cares more about getting more people buying Raptors and highlighting its V6 technology. I would be SHOCKED if Ford began offering a V8 in the Raptor anytime soon as they would be pretty much saying V8 > V6 and that is not their current business model.

If you need a V8, get a F150 and build it up, that will happen a lot sooner than Ford adding a V8 to the Raptor line up.
