Replacing 'blend door actuator'

Know this thread is old, but I now have the same thing going on in my 2011 SCAB as well.
Anyone do the blend door actuator repair? Or is it a nightmare left for the Ford Stealership?
For anyone that took it to the dealer what was the repair cost?

Let me know if you decide to go the dealership route, 208 Raptor. How many miles do you have on your truck?

On my 2010 with just over 39K miles found I had the same problem. In my case, I do have the extended warranty but my truck has been in the dealer service now 2 full days and just spoke to the Service Manager and they need it for yet another day. I was told the job took 6 hours to remove the dash and such, but going on 48 and 72 clock hours or 18 to 24 work hours is insane.

Not happy and will be a very upset customer and it will reflect badly both on the dealer and Ford in general. Is there a Ford rep that can assist me on this forum?

Just curious, I assume it's not possible to pull the radio to replace the actuator?

I had to replace one of these on my '04 Sierra, fortunately it was the easy side...exactly the same problem/scenario. Ford and GM must work together to ensure they have the same design/maintenance flaws.
