Everyone that has nittos hates them. they are loud, they wear uneven and stupid fast.
Really?? I didn't have any of those issues. They make more noise and you can feel them more but they are a mud tread so that is expected.

I've had both Generals and Nitto Trail Grapplers and the Nittos are no nearly as loud as the Generals and I got over 40,000 miles and there is still about 30% tread left. There is a bit of tire pull with them but I rotated them every 5,000 and the wear is pretty even for a 35. I have about 8,000 miles on the Generals and they have gotten a lot louder and i am going to be surprised if I get 30,000 out of them...but this truck will probably be long gone by then :peace:

I have never seen real mud or snow so I can't give you any feedback on that...but both holdup well to rocks and high speed stuff without chunking

Goodyear M/TR with Kavlar . I am very happy with them . Not great on ice or realy light snow . Very good on dry pavment and very quiet . I would not have beleaived it . They are spendy though. DOn't let anyone BS you if you look for these tires they do come in a black sidewall. Be carful as the 35's do not have the same load rateing as the 295's. Good luck .

anyone that has has the Toyo MTs used them in snow?

I have. I have lived in the mountains, and have made several cross country trips in the winter. I found the Toyo's to be fantastic mud and snow tires. They self clean very well, and the side walls themselves can provide some extra bite in snow/mud.
I rotated mine every 5k, and got just over 60k on two separate sets. I have never had a mud tire last that long. I also used them extensively in the deserts, and never a single flat. After I use up the stock BFG's, I'll be putting a set on my Raptor.

I have had both Toyo MTs and Trail Grapplers. I only got 40,000 miles out of my Toyos because I was running on busted struts for over a year (despite me taking it to the dealer multiple times....thanks Nissan). But most people I know got more mileage out of them. The Toyos are silent even at 80mph on the highway. The Nittos are a little louder, nice soft hum/whoosh sound that I actually like. But it's very subtle and you really don't hear them with the stereo on. The reason I didn't get Toyos is because my local Discount Tire had them in stock and they were $300 cheaper than Toyos.

As for my driving habits, 99.9% on pavement. No snow down here so I can't tell you about that. Overall ranking: Toyos #1, Nitto Trail Grapplers a very close 2nd.

********! I have Trail Grapplers on my truck right now and like them. They ride smooth, they're pretty quiet for a mud tire, not as quiet as Toyo's, but have a nice soft hum to them. They also wear straight too. If you're referring to Nitto MUD Grapplers then I agree with you, but TRAIL Grapplers are comparable to Toyo MTs.
