Hey guys, I am having a hard time finding out this information, pictures are not helping.
I am replacing the emblems on my truck, as age has removed some of the "clear coat" and black paint inside the emblems themselves.
I found the 6.2 and raptor emblems that are OEM, but I am having trouble with the "F150" tailgate emblem.
I need to see if anyone knows if the standard replacement F150 badging on the tailgate is "pebbled" on all models, or just the raptor. I did find a red FX4 f150 badge, and it was pebbled, but the pictures of the OEM black badges on ebay aren't showing me if the inside emblem texture is pebbled or not.

I think I answered my own question... a closer inspection of the emblems shows a chrome trim around the black, and the raptor emblems are a metallic border

I was going to completely debadge mine, but the Ford oval emblem on the tailgate is integral to the back up camera.

I have probably debadged every other truck I have ever owned, just about... but for whatever reason, I like the badges on this truck and decided to just refresh them.
Edit: I say that, but then remembered the last two trucks I did, I just removed the chrome emblems and went with matte black versions and it looked much better! Guess I change as I get older?! lol

I searched for about an hour yesterday to figure out how to get my ford emblem blacked out. I found a link to a company that custom painted them, but they seem to have gone out of business. I found a lot for non-camera emblems, and I did even find an adhesive black "ring" that goes around the chrome portion of the outside of the oval, but the emblem would still be blue.
This is the first truck I have owned where it has been difficult to get black emblems... all my chevy's were easy front and back.
