Nope. It was about 14 months old with 16k miles on it when I bought it.

Nope. I'm ignorant about audio. I don't even know what those are or what they do?

hehe, they protect the speakers from water that gets into the door and baffle the resonance sound a bit in the doors, I installed them when doing my dynamat on the rear doors, nice little improvement, nothing major but does protect the speakers well.
