Sup all :)

Hey.. Anyone with hints for removing your transmission pan in getting those last five 8mm bolts right above the exhaust pipe?

I tried using a 1/4 universal socket without success.

I am thinking of getting a mini pry bar and on the back flat side of the pry bar, welding on a 8mm socket.. Now i'm thinking instead of a solid pry bar, maybe something flexible so I can bend the handle to the desired angles so I can get a clean pull between the exhaust and transmission pan..

Thanks in advance!!
:)

I used an end wrench.
The placement of the exhaust pipe precludes the use of a torque wrench to reinstall the pan. You'll have to use your calibrated wrist and fingers.

Okays..

Got a spare 8mm socket and picked up a hack saw blade from nearby hardware shop. Stopped by our local cheap muffler shop and asked for a favor if they can weld these to things together.. Not the best job, but I hope it is strong and flexible enough to get to these hard to reach screws..

I'll find out if it works tomorrow.. Hopefully it ain't raining again..

Perhaps you should post a picture on your end wrench that you used for the OP

Love to see your wrench that you used to drop your pan..

For what it's worth.. All is good.. Once I was able to break the screw, my calibrated wrist and fingers did it's job.. haha

peace!
