The 801A package has remote start. If your truck is an 801A, it is up to Ford to make it right.

The 801A includes the remote start. I just picked up my 13 last week and it has it. Get with your dealer (paperwork and all) and make sure you get it.

I'm right there with everybody else. The 801a comes with remote start... For whatever it's worth. Not much really. You'd be lucky to get the factory remote to work while standing in the bed. (Yeah, the range is about that bad) not being two way, so you know it's running, makes it even more pointless.

I'm having a Audiovox Code Alarm remote start and security system installed next week. They claim a mile range with confirmation on the remote... If I get just half that I'll be completely satisfied. It also has the option to plug and play the smartphone control module. Just waiting for them to upgrade it to work on networks other than AT&T. That's what the sales guy told me about the smartphone module anyway. Anybody confirm that or know much about the CA6553 SST remote/security system?

(The smartphone module was only around $250 installed... I might just do it anyway and upgrade it down the road if needed.)

no clue on installation of oem parts, but i must say that i call ********. your truck comes with remote start, and for them to tell you to add an aftermarket system........
either make them pay for the new aftermaket alarm, or have them order and install the oem remote start free of charge. i just looked, it specifically states remote start on the 801a. go raise hell. then dont forget me when you want a viper alarm

First things first. DONT INSTALL OR ORDER ANYTHING. If you bought a raptor with the 801A (luxury) package then it will have the remote start included. Get your paperwork together. Look at the window sticker, it will say EQUIPMENT GROUP 801A and remote start is listed somewhere below that. If you ordered your truck, then get the DORA and check to make sure you had actually order the 801A package. If all your paperwork says you ordered it, then you should have it.

Dont let the dealer feed you a bunch of ******** about how they left it off by accident and that you're suppose to fend for yourself. If its suppose to be there, then insist they make it right. By all means get Ford Customer Service involved as well.

Just make sure your paperwork says you're suppose to have it.

I took delivery of 2013 SCAB with 801a and it came with remote start. The range on mine is pretty good for my needs. I live in AZ and 30 seconds of cooling is fine, no need for starting in the cold. It starts with 100% reliability from inside my house (truck parked outside on driveway), and so far it starts in the parking garages when I'm about 100-150 ft away.

The downside I see to aftermarket systems is that it's all up to the installer. I'm an electrical engineer and I don't want some random guy hacking up my factory wiring harness.

Also, I keep my keys in my pocket when not driving. I don't want the factory key and a separate fob in my pocket.

Go to Ford.com and check the options for the Raptor, it is right there. That package comes with the remote start. As simple as that, they need to make it right.
