remote start

I know maybe this was discussed way back .. but i have found any up to date post about it, i prefer to come to u guys rather than going ask to the douchebacks at my local dealer. U.u

My raptor y 2010, and finally decide to go remote start.. i was looking at the kit *BC3Z-19G364-A but heard it for 2011+ only... is there an oem kit for the 2010 or you guys with 10s pretty much went
aftermarket??

i would go aftermarket..... but hey, im biased...... a viper alarm will give you the remote start, much longer range and the ability to add more security features than you ever could with the oem

Are you talking the key with the buttons on the key instead of an additional key fob?

if you are you can buy a key and have it cut and programmed and it will work.

My 08 fx4 i had i did it with. The guys at the dealer said there was no way it would work and after some talking and humor me speech it worked fine.

Yes, go with a Viper-type remote for sure. I have a Clifford which is Viper owned. I think most after market remotes are part of the Viper family. I don't care much for all the additional features they have but I do like the distance they afford. Whether it's hot or cold outside, it's nice to be able to start the truck from the theater or wherever you happen to be.

Yea i want too be able to do that guees ill go with the viper.. yea i wanted the key the has the buttons but be able to work the remote start.. thanks for the help guys

I jus received my 2013 Raptor, I got the lux package I thought the remote start would be included with the lux package,, when I got the trucks keys , the 4th button with 2x wasnt,, there,,, I would like to order the oem remote start kit ,,, but would I get oem keys for my truck with remote start ? Or is it I jus changein the key cover for the one with 2x button ?

strange.... never heard of the 801a without remote start. maybe they forgot it

Yep very strange,, it's either I didn't get the remote start keys with 2x, or jus didn't get the system fixed from factory , am glad it wasn't a major option to worry about,

take it back to them and have them verify that. from what i understand, the 801a includes the remote start
