Man - saw an old man cleaning a BRAND NEW 2012 RED so I HAD to pull off the road and talk to him. He had just picked it up Wed and had EVERY option on it. Eventhough I am waiting on a SILVER that red looked AWESOME - especially with the contrast of the decals on hood and rear quarters! He sure was proud and rightly so!!!

no pics!?!?!??!

Didnt want to freak the old man out! LOL - He was already initially a little shaky me pulling up to talk to him - HA - He knew how to clean that bad boy though. He had it looking RIGHT! My girls actually spotted it and I immediately did a U turn! He SURE was happy! Said he had bought himself a NICE Christmas present. First 2012 I have seen in person and the new rims looked REALLY good on that red. Man the first thing I do is the wheel wells - they looked TERRIBLE on his half way painted.

That is good news. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have begun to call the dealership and switch to silver. I am compiling the modification list slowly. What exactly should be done to the wheel wells. I was thinking of line x. Eagerly anticipating the delivery around 1/16

I had a recent post on "EXTERIOR MODIFICATIONS" - I have decided to premium LINE-X mine. Local LINE - X has done quite a few Raptors and the FRF guys here have posted some pix. You'll be getting yours when mine is built! Man I cant wait!

Red would be my 2nd choice--then silver. I would also go full graphic with the red and at least hood graph the silver. No graphics on black. Blue, orange and white are all ok colors but.....red, silver and TUX BLACK R THE BEST! :peace:

PS-Red should come with Red Interior trim...then it would sell like hot cake.

PS2-the only things the Raptor needs (I hate to say it bc its already rockin for 2012) would be an inverter, block heater, mounted or mobile winch, fog lights and maybe a little better headlights ALL STOCK. Then it would be the absolute perfect truck. I plan to add most...if not all myself. Eventually. Jsut happy to almiost finally have a raptor after waiting 3 years.

I can't get with the trend here, IMHO I think red trucks are the worst. I will still appreciate a Red Raptor because it's a Raptor, but I just can't get with it. Red belongs on Ferrari's, '57 Corvette's, and fire engines.

Interior: Would be too bright and too much red imo.
Inverter: All Raptors (at least 11-12's) have them in the back side of the center console with another 12v outlet.
Block Heater: Interesting thought..perhaps an option.

I was never a fan of red either, until I bought a Red '04 Lightning. bought it to flip it and make some cash, but I actually ended up really liking the color after washing it up and driving it for a couple months before selling it.

I asked Randy about getting a block heater on mine. He wasn't able to order it though. I believe anybody who gets one it's a dealer-add-on option and not factory available for the Raptors. I had one stock in my second 00 HD truck and I used it all the time in the winter, made the warm up time so much faster. Luckily the Raptor at least has remote start!
