I read here some late 2018 Raptors were arriving with rusty frames, suspensions etc. is that still an issue with recently built 2019s or is Ford better coating the underbody?

My PB is enroute via rail and I’m I’m tryinnh to figure out if I’m going to be dealing with treating surface rust as soon as it arrives.

Yes. Here is my 2019 with 100 miles on it. I took it straight from the lot to a detailer. This is the only picture I have....which was sent to me from the detailer. He said he had to paint the diff cover too. I’m surprised they deliver like this but I don’t think it will hurt the performance.

There is a thread in the gen2 general section, it's sorta hit and miss. Saw a 19 on lot less than a week that had some heavy rust on the diff and axles, the rest looked like it had a really good coating on it.

My 18 with couple thousand miles was pretty bad. Had the dealer coat it.

That is really ****** & worthless QC if that is normal. One of my cars is a 1998 Volvo R that I've had from new with 105,000 on it. Want to guess how many rusted parts are underneath it?
Well there aint gonna be many rusted spots on my raptor...cause the nicest way I can say it is...most of the material under there... wont rust
