Hello recently did a long road trip and got to go for a long stretch of miles; (not to get myself into trouble cause it was on a closed course with a professional driver). :). Had the raptor doing over 90 for long stretch and the RPM was just over 2000. So curios what actual top speed is? has plenty power to go on highway; I was more worried about the tires etc cause air temp was 96 so I'm sure the asphalt was very toasty. Truck was very stable at speed; no vibrations; no floaty-ness. Great build has to go to Ford. Anyone get pedal to floor? and what speed?

I floored it to 110 with ease still had room to go. Without a tune I believe you are limited to 107

I second the 107 mph. I think the factory says 108, however my phone app has said 107 multiple times.

Be careful though. I spend a lot of time driving "Baja" like roads and had a Yoko Geolander get a longitudinal cut/tear right between the lugs which went unnoticed until I saw that the tire was low. Earlier that day I was blissfully cruising at 100-120 mph for some miles on the highway into town.

This could have ended badly.

You can have the governor turned off but I'd be careful on the stock tires

Out of curiosity what tires do you think are better than the stock for speed? The stock have the highest speed rating of any tire out there from what I have been able to find.

I'm not sure you understand the danger involved in going that fast in a pickup truck. Straight line speed is one thing but if you had to make any sort of emergency maneuver your almost certainly going to crash. At first it will feel like the truck won't want to do the swerve/turn then it will just go and you won't be able to put any more input in.

Electric power steering will give a false sense of security even in a straight line. I always say people would be twice as dangerous if they had an actual fast car.

It's not the meat, it's the motion. Raptor will go over 100...it is just too top heavy to maneuver well in an emergency situation. The stock tires are very good at what the Raptor is designed for.

Have fun and be careful!

The top speed I’ve seen in mine is a gps-verified 140 mph. Obviously I have a tune with limiter removed. As for the handling at 100+ mph, it is as expected in a 5700 lb truck with flexible off-road tires. I don’t recommend cruising at 100+ as the truck is not set up with tires or suspension for high speed handing. Millennials, Democrats, or any other idiots should NOT attempt to duplicate my results.

What tires are you running?

I agree 100%. My question was directed to the user who commented he would not remove the governor on the stock tires. (I have no interest in removing the governor or taking the truck above what Ford feels the truck can safely handle) I have been hesitant to remove the stock tires and replace them with a tire that has a lower speed rating. I am simply trying to find out if that user found a tire which had a higher speed rating.
