Got the license plate lamp assemblies spray tinted and darkened down a fair bit. They were so bright that they actually made it hard to see out of the reverse camera at night because they were shining so brightly up at it. Also, they were just a bit too overpowering compared to the tail lights and side markers. The reverse bulbs are installed in the tail lights as well, and they made a huge difference in the light output.
I also got the trailer connector relocated as well. I noticed that the bracket was bent indicating the P.O. must have hit it on something. I cut the bracket off the hitch, ground the welds down, and sprayed it with matte black paint to cover it for now. Eventually when I get the front bumper, rear bumper, and rock sliders bed linered gray I'll have the hitch done as well.
Lastly, I installed the license plate reverse mount. It's very good quality, and it's nice because you can drill a hole through the plastic underneath it for the wire to run through so you don't have any wires on the outside of the bumper. I ended up tying it into the reverse output on the trailer harness wiring, and used a self tapping screw to ground it to the bumper bracket. I was going to attach it to the trailer wiring ground, but the wire is quite large, and I didn't want to attach the tiny 24 gauge wire into the 14 gauge trailer harness ground wire. This thing is extremely bright for how small it is!
