I have not had any issues "yet" but have the RPG gas shock bump stop kit which may be helping.

I've got no issues, but have the icon bumpstops, I've got the mount braces laying around but haven't installed them.

Wonder how many rear shock mounts have broke because of worn/sagging leave springs. You ask that much more out of the shock/mount when the springs are shot and constantly bottoming out.

the upper mounts do tend to break sometimes after they are clearanced we have a had a few- even ones that arent clearanced running foxes. Its a definate week point. Its easy to reenforce them.

when shock valving is more aggressive it puts more pressure on the mounts- it doesnt have anything to do with bottoming the shock most times

Yup, what he said!

After I racked my brain for hours on how I did this I remembered I hit a monster pothole in queens Monday night. The pothole claimed about 8 cars on the Side of the road with blown rims and tires. I chuckled as the raptor seemed to roll right through it! Guess I was wrong. Coincidentally as Dave stated I had also recently stiffened up my rear shocks in an effort to get tighter street handling....as of recently I've decided to make my commute home the equivalent of a rally course track! I've been up on 2 wheels drifting.

If it is a common occurance someone should look into fab'n up some replacement mounts made from the thigh bone of Zeus himself! (Hint hint...wink wink.....ahem-Dave!)
