I still say no matter what, remove the panel and see if there's wires plugged into it!

then we'll know pretty well if it's a possible easy mod to add heated rear seats on our truck. if it's prewired, it's a matter of 2 switch panels, 2 heater sets, and a fuse.

please ask if there was a wire plugged into it! Quick answer to if our trucks are prewired for rear heated seats or not.

Ok... no luck. It was simply the switch plate that was wrong. The service manager is a friend of mine and we talked through the logistics of trying to wire up to the "Ford" rear heated seats... Very expensive and way more difficult than going after market. There was not an existing wiring harness in the door we could use. Oh well. They ordered a replacement plate, but I'm in no hurry and I can entertain myself asking riders if they notice the awesome rear heated seats :)

I picked up a 2004 land rover discovery had everything for heated seats....except the switch. I grabbed one off a car I was parting, and had free heated seats. I always found it strange that Lr wouldn't just go ahead and put the switch in an stick it on the window sticker.
