Looking for an education on the rear diff settings.

It’s my understanding that the rear is a Torsen when in 2h and the Mechanical locker is only available in 4H/L. When in 2H the Torsen engages when the wheel speed is 3x the opposite rear wheel

What I don’t understand is if the Torsen is mechanical sensing why Does the rear end spin only one wheel when it looses traction (always the right rear)

I cannot find a setting in which the Torsen kicks in in 2h. Tested from a standing start my truck only spins one wheel. Tc on / tc off / active track off / all available 2h modes including Baja reverted to 2h.

Has anyone found a setting combination that gave them a proper 2 wheel burnout / launch?

Thanks.

Thanks.

Raptors have an open rear diff with an E-locker. It's either fully open or fully locked. However, Gen 2 trucks cannot stay locked at high speeds like the Gen 1 trucks can.

Thanks, I thought the gen 2 had a rear worsen with an e locker

I had the gen 1 as well, but my understanding was that in GEn 2 the rear diff mechanically locked in Baja mode 4h, wouldn't that be considered "high speed" ?

Next question would be has anyone put a torson or other mechanical LSD in the rear of a gen2?

The difference is 2WD. You can lock up the rear in 2WD in a Gen 1 and let it rip.

You are limited to like 15 MPH max in a Gen 2 in 2WD or something like that. You can't turn on "baja mode" without getting 4WD, and you aren't going to be able to do a burnout in 4WD, or huge 90 MPH powerslides in the dirt.

You can re-select 2wd after entering Baja mode and it will stay in Baja but you do loose the locker, but baja 2wd is possible.

To many modes!

Torsen is in the front if you have 802A or selected it as a stand alone option.

Rear diff is an open diff until you engage the e-locker

Maybe Baja mode then switch to 4WA, engage differential locker and then hold button down for 7 seconds to disengage traction control and roll stability.
