Never seen such a mysterious part! Mine was rusting so took it off to clean. The inside was corroded and fell apart! Told dealer it was full of liquid, they say maybe supposed to be filled, don’t know!! Does anyone have any new info on this??

And no, they are not supposed to be filled with water. Your Ford service guy needs some more education.
