Really need to install a Nav system

Yes you are correct so I have eliminated those wires. Got it all in place everything works even the steering controls and Sync work. Just installing the mike wire and GPS antenna then put the dash back together. Just taking a brake at the moment.. One question what do I do with the USB and the video cable from the deck? Doesn't look like it mounts to the factory location?

it doesnt. your unit should have come with an ipod attacthmet cable that uses both usb and aux. they can also be used seperately. we normally run the cable into the glovebox or center console

it cant either, the only unit that does right now is the kenwood

unless you cut it and connect the aftermarket mic wires to it

yeah they both can be attatched to the oem mic, but you would need to connect it as close to the mic as possible. there should only be 3 wires in the mic (im not sure about the raptors, but every other car it is) left, right , and ground. they can always be reconnected if need be

10-4 on this being a great thread.

My thoughts from what I have learned so far, is to sit tight and see if something like maestro or maestro becomes available for the Alpine or Pioneer. I must admit I really like the Pioneer interface....

Standing by for an update from Canada!

once i get new info it will definitely be shared. i will check with my reps regarding an interface for alpine/pioneer.
