Line x looks good and def a lot better option for the flares but pricey. I wouldn't wanna put something on that won't hold up though so it's worth it to get the good stuff.

A year after, how's the paint holding up on those tips?

Dang it really has been over a year! Actually I haven't noticed any rock chips in the past year. I've played in mud a couple times and pressure washed mud right off (both dry mud). I can tell it's faded some compared to new, but could be due to that I've never once washed them or the mud. I've always just gone through the car wash and never scrubbed them.

And like Wilson, I am curious to know how well truck bed paint has held up on the exhaust tips.

I did my own exhaust tips when I first got the truck. Used hi-temp primer covered with several coats of hi-temp flat black, and baked it in the oven three times at increasing temperatures per the instructions. It was a lot of trouble and the hi-temp paints are expensive compared to one can of truck bed paint. It's held up very, very well, but now I'm wondering if all that trouble/expense was worth it.

Was thinking about doing this to front bumper but didn't know how well it would hold up.

Both things held up great to rocks and haven't noticed any chipping. I'm sure the bumper would hold up good, but not sure if it'll fade in the sun. I know my bed is Line-X'd and there's zero fading on it. If I was to do my bumper(s), I'd let them do it before a rattle can bed liner stuff just to make sure there is no fading.
