Gas was over $4 back in 2008'ish. That's probably $5-6 in today's dollars.

Salaries are much higher than 2008, especially hourly food workers, $15/plus.

I think it would have to hit $8 for people to get out of their suburbans and trucks, unless they need a truck for work. It won't bother me too much, I take the IRS mileage deduction and will raise my price to customers accordingly.
It will be 8 in a month!

I will just be riding my Harley to work two days a week instead of one, I need to ride it more anyway and it gets 38/39 mpg

No it’s a 2014 CVO Road King. Far from electric..... no radio, just noise and wind. My Gen3 2022 comes in end of next week. Supposedly anyway, I will see if they try to low ball my trade in because new truck is a 37 Pack at msrp. Current truck is a loaded 2020 802a w 48k miles.
