Everything the editor sumarized at the end should have been compared:

"we could have factored in criteria like fuel economy, road handling characteristics, pricing, value, zero-to-60 times, off-road prowess, payload capacities, etc — our list could go on and on — "

If you are going to do a comparsion of like vehicles ensure you factor it all in. It looks like they did a half ass job with doing this write up.

^x2, he pretty much is admitin he did a slop job on that article, if ya listen to the driver guy at the end of the vid he actually seems to favor the Raptor over the runner, the big thing that screwed the Raptor in their test I think was the Front clearance, shoulda put that bitch on top perch and it woulda been a diff ballgame

Even if it was true, just look at the interior and there conveniences. IT IS STILL A DODGE! The suspension may last but the body and motor will be the weak factor after all that bouncing. What makes FORD different is their reliability while maintaining a daily driver "pre-runner" description. I wonder what's the MPG's on that tank?!

I said this elsewhere, but it bares repeating:

They bought the Mopar "Raptor killer" hype. That's all I can figure. Quite frankly a stock Raptor has no business being mentioned in the same sentence as any fully aftermarket reworked vehicle, the Ram Runner included.

What I'd really loved to have seen is 2 identical 2009 Rams; on one install the Ram Runner kit and on the second, have an expert builder pick parts out of a catalog. The only restriction being that the catalog truck gets the same money to spend that was spent on the RR truck. So if the RR kit is $20k all told and labor is $5k (guestaments), that means the catalog truck gets $20k in parts and $5k in labor to install them as well. Lets see if Mopar has truly assembled the "best" off road kit for its Ram, or if 'we' can do better.

Given my experience with Mopar, I have a feeling the catalog build would wipe the floor with the RR kit. Not because the RR is under engineered, per say, but because out of a catalog you can get far more value; you're going to pay a seriously steep premium for that blue Mopar M stamped on any part you buy.

FAAAAAAAAAIIIIILLLLLL

ever since mike left PUT I've slowly been losing interest. This just make me want to remove it from my bookmarks.

They used to have reviews and comparisons that were as close to equal as possible. They strained that part. Now, they pull crap like this? Yeah no thanks. I like to see comparisons and reviews that are honest.
