I've heard a number of different ways how Raptors are transported & delivered from Dearborn Michigan to the dealership. Maybe someone can help me out. It has always been my belief that they are transported by rail from Dearborn to a local rail yard and from there, they are loaded on a car carrier (with other vehicles) and taken to the proper dealership.
One dealer told me, because they are SVT's, they are delivered differently from "normal" vehicles. How much different can the process get. Do they float on a magic carpet, to they dealership? Or, does Harry Potter show up and wave his wand? Seriously, how much different can the process be?

Most dealers have not got a clue how anything happens.. They show up for work and get a pay check that's all they know for sure.. They think its magic, even had one dealer try to explain to me how Ford stops the assembly line for the regular F150 and makes a special production of just Raptors.. I said well ok, thanks for your time.. in my head I thought you clueless basterd...

Rail yard and trucking company. Just be prepared to be patient. Mine sat in the local rail yard for about 2 weeks.

My dealer told me my truck would be delivered 2-3 weeks after it was built. My truck was delivered 13 days after it was built. So in this case my dealer was pretty spot on.

Bob - You're partially correct about the logistics. Most ship by rail from Dearborn Assembly to a shipping yard just a few miles away in Melvindale, MI. From the Melvindale, they will continue by rail to a yard near their final destination where they will be loaded onto a car hauler to complete their journey to the dealership. Some deliveries are handled a little different and most deliveries to dealerships somewhat local to Dearborn Assembly ship by car hauler directly from there.

To my knowledge, the only thing different about their transport is that they do not fit in all the locations that a normal F-150 would because of their width.

I don't think there is anything different about the delivery. Mine was delivered from the rail yard by transport with other vehicles waiting to be delivered. It was on the top of the hauler. I would think it would be a bitch to get it in and out from the bottom.

I have seen Raptors on the same truck carriers with other vehicles. They get transported the same way. Dealers talk so much smack who knows what to believe when they open their mouth.

There are a lot of rail cars right at the plant. There are also many "ramps" around that the convoy's haul out of. Beginning of the production yr they are held for awhile and there are lots that are full through out the town and over by the Henry Ford Museum

Bottom picture is of four Raptors on one carrier
