Well, here's the original story sent to me about this time last year.

Fresh off the presses: Border Patrol Agents can be REALLY stupid!!!
The Lordsburg Border Patrol Station received 3 or 4 F150 Ford Raptor trucks recently. Allegedly High-Performance, Off-Road focused, kick ass, does the dishes, etc. Agents have been chomping at the bit to drive them, but they are really expensive and only specific personnel were permitted to drive them for a month or two for evaluations. Yesterday three of the trucks were released to line agents for regular use. This was right in the middle of a week of snow and rain. Everyone was told to stay on maintained roads, and last night everyone was supposed to stay on pavement, but SOMEONE (known for bad judgement and more balls than brains) decided to "see what this truck can really do" (totally predicted) and they drove into a really remote area ( find N31.340617 by W-109.077705 and you can see ! the road and the normally-dry creek. That's really close to where they were stuck, I don't know the precise coordinates).
I was going to send two of my agents down with tow straps to pull them out until we received the report of how bad the area was flooded. The agents spent the night on the bank of the creek next to a camp fire because nobody could get to them.
Allegedly when the truck was pulled out today, someone opened the door and water came pouring out. The truck is ruined. That's $60,000 of tax payers' money gone with one stupid decision. Makes for a hilarious picture, but upper-management is freaking pizzed!!
> Time to make Miguel ******* and Alberto****** famous... Lordsburg Station proves the Ford Raptor is not a boat...
