They swapped in the supercharged 5.4 out of a GT500 and built some nice looking billet *aluminum* upper control arms and added bumpstops. Check it out here:

Okay, now that I have read the article I have one question. Is the Raptor really that bad offroad, during jumps and on high speed runs? SHM makes it sound like a slow ignorant pig, you know, until they get their hands on it...then it's great, except for that axle.

Just curious since all I have here are beaches.

Oh you know it. You've seen the Raptor Run pics... clearly the Raptor sucks.

I am curious as to what actual benefits the new upper control arm gave. If it is an increase in wheel travel, how much? I do like the grease zerk on the ball joint (they should all come that way from the factory!!).

They've got the same reputation as Hennessey but, a GT500 motor is cool and those upper arms sure do look purty. Wonder how much weight was added to the front end with that motor swap.....? They'll tell you that the Raptor, or any vehicle for that matter, is not up to speed......so that way, their product looks better. But then again, most any vehicle has room for modifications.
