Thank your guardian angel.
I know I have, many times.
I blame your situation on the dealer markup's, if not for their greed you and many other Raptor buyers would not be subjectef to out of state purchasing. This should be brought to the attention of Ford, We should start a petition with your story and I'm sure there's more. Dear Ford "The buck$ stop here". That's terrible, I'm glad you're ok. You will never forget this, ever. I know, I was just as Lucky. But your having to take on a trip like this just ****** me off and is totally unnecessary, period.
Ford needs to take action, your probability not the first and won't be the last.
Ford Mo Co doesn't set the selling price, the dealer does. The dealers will continue to sell trucks for a fair market value so long as uninformed buyers are willing to pay it. It is the buyers choice to drive great distances to save a few bucks. Ford is not making anyone cross state lines to buy their truck.Thank your guardian angel.

To the OP, I'm glad you made it. Driving tired is an unperceived hazard that we as drives inflict upon ourselves. Please take a read through this thread.

Ford could simply make it their franchisee agreement ie; dealer charging customers an admin let's say greater than MSRP, 5% etc.(All pricing, MSRP etc. 'Ford' sets) would be in violation of their franchise agreement. Of course there will be issues. Ford can be put on notice, for anything, including this incident, since Ford $ells the Ford franchise and holds all franchisee's to contract.
