Interesting. This is my dealership and I've already paid a deposit a long time ago and been promised the first allocation of the R they get from upper management there. They may be getting others, I haven't heard recently, so this may be one of the others they get.

I may need to stop back in or call them
Yeah, I'd call back and get an update. There are two allocations, and one was already spoken for (at least that's what I was told yesterday).

Got off the phone with Nate a little bit ago.
Good conversation. No I did not consummate a deal.
Very nice gentleman.

Was at the dealer yesterday where I have my R ordered and know the person over the Raptor/GT500/ST Explorer - Ford Performance ordering personally for a bit of time and have bought a lot of fords from the dealer probably buying another one this week for the wife. This person is a shoot you straight no bull s h i t type of individual.

He told me no dealer knows the exact allocation numbers as he meets with the ford zone manager weekly. It’s all just guesses. He said early September is what he has heard but not confirmed as when true allocation numbers will be known to the dealer level.

He said the allocation for this first wave will be very selective on the dealer side. I asked about some dealers stating they are getting 6 to 8 confirmed allocations he just laughed and said don’t believe everything you read on the net.

He also told me they (dealership) are not selling to anyone that is not local and have dealt with the dealership in the past. Also it will be MSRP no strings attached or last minute ADMs.

I have no idea about most of this ordering stuff just passing it along. As I’ve stated not holding my breath on the order I placed but there are dealerships out there with high customer service and integrity. That’s why I keep doing business with them.

Hopefully all the early orders folks get there allocations including myself.

Congrats on getting in a R order!
My question would be that he says no dealer knows allocation means he does not know his allocation so how can he sell you a truck?

I know for a fact my dealer does know and are getting 6 R’s for MY23.

Many factors are in play how many a dealer will get and when.

Sure hope you get one. He may not get a allocation if he does not already know his numbers.

My dealer was told on July 27th how many they would get.

Part of an e-mail from the upper strata:

The F-150 Raptor R is a very limited production vehicle. We do our best to communicate each dealer's full-year production estimate at the beginning of the model year to help manage expectations. With that being said, for such a limited production vehicle like the Raptor R, most dealers only will be allocated one unit for the 2023 model year.

As you can imagine, this means our demand for this vehicle will far exceed the number of Raptor Rs that we will be able to produce. We recommend you stay in contact with your local dealer and continue working with them for your best chance to purchase the vehicle in the 2023 model year. If there is no availability for the 2023 model year, this will help keep your name on the dealer’s list for future production opportunities.

Your dealer has a verbal from their zone manager. No dealer can confirm an allocation until the 18th of Aug for certain after the orders have converted to scheduled with a VIN. They may get 3, they may get 7. I know of one dealer that sells regular raps for large ADMs to out of state buyers and was verbally told they’re not getting an R allocation and very few regular rap allocations for next year. Seems ford will be very selective to what the dealers are doing with their premium products.

Not to be offensive, but how do you know for a FACT??? Because they told you? Really is odd that many in the KNOW confess that they have no idea yet. And these are dealers.

Ya that’s exactly it he doesn’t know for a 100% fact what they will get for allocations. If no allocation he can’t sell me a truck and my order will just hang out in the ether or get cancelled.

I figured this going in due to the demand and it more than likely would be limited production.

I just ordered at one dealership and not multiples in different states like some did. I’m good either way the order gets allocated or not, but I’m low pressure so it is what it is.

For the record after much arm twisting with the guy I asked him what estimate he thinks they will get he said 1 if lucky to 2 would be a miracle.

I honestly hope x y and z dealers get 4 or 6 or 10 or whatever they told their customers. I don’t know squat about any of this ordering stuff unlike some of the people on this site who know it in and out. I’m just relaying what one guy told me, who really has no reason to lie.

Maybe it’s different in different zones no idea.
