OK, since the family is all in Arkansas and I have some friends around Hardy AR, I was watching Clash of the Ozarks last night.
I had seen a customized black F150 on it and the hood is terrible, add on flares, awful wheels and it was definitely NOT a Raptor.
Low and behold, there was a Raptor logo on the driver's side.
It's just a pimped out F150!!!!

:wtf2:

Ive seen quite a few of these raptor posers in real life.

One guy had a painted cardboard "FORD" cutout for the grill - I parked next to him :)

^I'm paranoid so I never park near F***s like that because it only takes a ******* one minute to open a door super wide and gto and suddenly you have a nasty dent.

Posers imo seem to always have a bad attitude about the real thing up close so I'd never chance it.

Got to agree with the strategy. For that very reason, I stay away from just about everything lifted.
We have haters out there, and not all of them are driving a Prius.

Yeah, I've noticed Raptors tend to evoke very strong emotions, not all positive. I avoid hostility and take it in stride. Life's too short and I'm having way too much fun to give a crap about them...

^Weeks ago a pair of obnoxious 6"+ Ram 1500s pulled into the parking garage just as I finished parking. They parked opposite me and were leering at me the whole time. When I chirped my lock as I walked away they did so twice themselves and walked right beside my truck pointing and chuckling at it.

Needless to say, I pretended to grab my cell and pulled off to the side as they walked past me. I then went and reparked my truck on the next floor where it was better parking anyways. No way I was going to chance one of those F***s to not decide to do something after a few drinks, etc. to my truck.

Absolutely, some people just cannot stand that other people have better things than them. I just merely stay passive about any negative criticisms or neutral comments about my truck, only when I can tell they're genuine compliments will I even pipe up. Some people exist to only seek confrontations or to bait people into arguments.

We will be seeing more as the popularity of Raptor Conversion fiberglass picks up popularity in the Ranger and F150 off road markets. Nothing better than a 1996 Ford Ranger with a Raptor width front clip!
