Went to hose off some bird droppings after work today.. noticed this.

Above the driver side headlight, not even 2000kms on my raptor. Also had the dealer put their ceramic coating on it.

Anyone else have a similar issue?

should I be worried?

What is this "ceramic coating"? Factory finish won't exhibit that issue unless it's scratched by something.

They offered the paint protection package which was a sealer they put on overtop the clear coat along with rustproofing on the frame etc.

Odd how it’s cracking? I’ve not hit anything or even hand washed my truck yet.

Ford Motor Company does not recommend any "paint protection" packages, undercoating, glass etching, etc. Dealers sell those add-ons through their finance departments as a way to pad their bottom line, since they don't make a big profit margin on new vehicles sales. It's all a scam, and I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an issue. I would return to your selling dealer to have the issue addressed.

Yep, found a "crack" in my paint on the front drivers side quarter panel near the hood of my 2019. Going in for service next week, thats one of the things im going to mention, in addition to my drivers side seat heater's less than stellar performance, and the rear camera starting to act up. Heres a pic, its almost 10:00 pm and had to use a flashlight so its not the greatest. Maybe ill snap a pic tomorrow, but you get the idea. Looks similar to yours but not quite as bad. I had ceramic coating done before i took delivery in March of 2019.IMG_2861.jpeg

That is an aftermarket paint coating issue, not a factory defect. You need to take it up with the dealer that sold you that "package"; Ford Motor Company does not recommend that any coatings be applied to the factory paint.

I was uncomfortably afraid of that after reading the above posts. We will see what happens next Thursday when I mention it to the local dealership. I bought the truck from another dealership that is inconvenient to return to for regular maintenance. As you said I will most likely have to take it up with them.

Ceramic coatings are super thin and clear. I highly doubt what you are showing is related. If you can feel that crack with your finger nail then its in the clear coat/paint and nothing to do with the coating.
