Maybe it’s a southern thing but waving to say hi I consider just being nice. Granted a lot of us here are hillbillies so.... I give the wave in my neighborhood to people walking when I’m in my golf cart or truck too. Do the ones against waving not wave to your neighbors either?

About 50/50 for waves for my Raptor. 0% for me and 100% when my wife drives it. Weird it randomly stacks up that way...

I figured anyone waving either knows me or wants to get lucky. You’re making my case. I wave to people I know, neighbors, and to people out in the sticks, where it’s just being friendly. What if I waved to @Oldfart and he followed me home? I’d hate to have to shoot him, he’s too entertaining.

Geez, if I wave and it’s Oldfart he might follow me home? Now I’m going to be scared to make eye contact with anyone on the road.

The first gen 2 raptor that I drove by after I became an owner gave me the little raptor wave and head nod, which made my day. It was a common thing way back in the day in the tuner/Evo community, so I was pleasantly surprised raptor boys do it too. I think its a nice gesture between 2 people who both love the car you they have, and understand they are in a somewhat elite niche group of drivers on the road.

Ever since that guy gave me the wave, I initiate whenever possible, and 75% get a smile n wave back

Like Jace, 2 finger wave from the steering wheel pretty standard to other Raptors. But then again, Montanans tend to wave to everyone in their neighborhood, or everyone if they live in a small town so kinda ingrained here
