Of barely passing base model SUVs? Why would anyone be envious of that? :shrug:

Thread is off the rail...from the beginning. My truck will smoke a base SUV, it will absolutely give TRUCKZOR a run for his money, and it only cost me $600 to get there. 12K miles on an MPT tune, truck runs like a beast, and I could not care less if it downshifts to pass a big rig, as long as it passes it...the truck has 10 speeds, it downshifts if you tap the gas no matter what. But, as I've said before, I loved my gen 1 too.

BTW, Not trying to **** in TRUCKZORS wheaties, your truck is badass, just pointing out the stupidity of this thread.

I'm not that sensitive. My Wheaties remain pee-free. I do think you're being a bit optimistic about giving a Stage 2 or 2+ Whipple any kind of a run (and that is even before Whipple released the new rotor profile) but I respect you and your truck. And I also think you underestimate how great it is not to need to downshift to have passing power. You have to admit most ecoboost fan boys are ignorant of their actual torque curves, no?

Truckzor just butthurt his rig is depreciating more and more everyday and he can't afford to upgrade to a Gen 2

Depreciation. That's one of those things you guys who worry about monthly payments and fuel mileage worry about, right?

I'm not on monthly payments. And my truck is a keeper.

Yep. Boost lag. It's physics, bro. It exists. I've driven both tuned and stock Jennies. And it only gets worse if you want to make big boy power levels and have to ditch those undersized and over-stressed (aka over heated) turbos.

Undersized. Over-stressed. That basically sums up the EcoBOOM.

Definitely planning to do some organized runs soon. Not sure about TRR. Looking at a Silver Lake Sand Dunes Run this summer and SnoBall next winter. I work a lot so scheduling these things is always tough. Rest assured, though, I realize that even with the MASSIVE power to weight advantage that my truck has over any Jenny, a Jenny with a fully built suspension and a talented/experienced driver would still be faster off road.

But let's be honest, none of the clowns in this thread are going to be that guy. These fools are living their lives a car payment at a time while dreaming of living their lives a quarter mile at a time. :ROFLJest:
