almost a year now, bought 1st week of december. No problems and we just took a two week road trip out west. The most relaxing drive ever! It cruised and we averaged almost 18 mpg. Total miles about 4200. I am most impressed with ride and seats. Also attended raptor assult which was fun and freecto everyone that buys a new raptor. Teaches you about the truck and what to do or not do. Motor is good and plenty fast, but i wish it had a V8 ! I love my raptor. People always coming up to me at gas stations asking to look.

I had 6.7 as well. It was damn fast up to certain point however I never did 120mph in it or 80mph in 4 hi. Still had plenty of power if I wanted to push it more.

I'll have my brother look into this, he designs shocks for road racing motorcycles. His head is full of dampening and rebound valving stuff. I'm guessing through just the valving on these new Raptor shocks is variable, not the fluid like magnetic ride suspensions?

Raptor shocks have always been internal bypass, with different dampening zones (gen 1 has eight, IIRC, gen 2 has nine). The Fox Live valve adds another adjustment on top of this. To explain it simply, the Live valve controls the total volume of oil in the shock at any given .005ths of a second, all while the shock (still an internal bypass) does its thing normally.

So imagine a 2017 shock, but the ability to firm up or soften the whole thing (homogeneously) at once, but very quickly based on terrain conditions.

Its been fun to drive. It doesn't launch like a rocket off the line but within 2 seconds its pulling HARD like a freight train and your at 60-70 mph quickly with more on tap. The Ram V8 will beat it off the line but the Ram gasps for air at higher RPM. My 2013 V8 F150 pulled hard at high RPM's but ran out of RPM and was anemic off the line to mid throttle. I guess I expected the Raptor to be more of a hot rod.

That's cool, I am wondering would it would cost to replace since shocks are a wear part. I wonder if they can be rebuilt. Shocks have always been a compromise, now that they can be computer controlled much less so.

Dealer just sent me an email, "So I have all the new features on several sheets if you would like to sit down and go over everything with me. The new shocks come standard but the Recaro seats are only available if you get the 802 package with the blue accents."

If Ford offered the Raptor in grabber blue or that Focus RS Nitrous blue I'd be all over the blue interior. Blue on silver though...maybe blue on black.
