I've got NO sympathy for him, if he was drinking then they can lock him up and throw away the key, if he wasn't and it was just a case of the brain pain then guess what, his ass shouldn't have been driving anyways. He knowingly put others in danger either way.

Im not gonna come down that hard on the guy....

He is the son a man he never met, his girlfriend died unexpectedly last year, and the guy hasnt ever been in any trouble before this that I have heard about. I dont condone drinking and driving, but those that have an alcohol problem usually do SOMETHING really ****** up before they realize they hit rock bottom. If he was drunk, and he gets help now, then I wish him the best, as he did some property damage, but no one got hurt. He didnt mow down a family of 5 or anything. (And before I hear the counter- he could have, let me just say that it is completely fine for anyone here who has never been behind the wheel of a vehicle intoxicated to critique his actions, but, I know most of us are not in that category.) In fact, you Texas guys over 40 like me dont even have to go that far back in time when we would have an open container driving down the road.

As to the trust fund- meh, whatever. I dont care where you get your money as long as you dont make out to be a master of business if your "business" consists of walking over to a mailbox to pull out your next monthly check.

That said- An idle mind can only bring you trouble.

The news makes no reference to restrictions on John Clark Gable's drivers license and he has reportedly only experienced two aneurysms in his life with the most recent one being 4 years ago. So I think it's unfair to say he knowingly put anyone's life in danger based on the grounds of head injuries. I'm still holding out for the drug/alcohol test results but should it prove positive, than I would agree with the general opinion.

One a side note, John Clark Gable is an avid Offroad racer and has competed in the Baja 500. It's possible over the years he has sustained enough head bumps to create aneurysms...the more concussions one has, the higher their changes of permanent brain injuries.

He's had two, safe to say he could have another, the mere act of being behind the wheel is irresponsible, BUT THIS is IN MY OPINION of course and I understand that not all share it.

I know of many people who have had seizures in their lifetimes, multiples in my sister's case, but hasnt happened in years, so she drives now. Going through life without the ability to drive is a real hardship, but I understand the knee jerk reaction to bar them from driving as it could happen at any time. The slippery slope to that is then you need to bar athletes, anyone with diabetes (which causes many more incidents that seizures or head trauma blackouts) and dare I say anyone with a heart condition.

I saw a interview with him some years ago he seemed pretty cool. He was showing some of the stuff his dad left him. His dad was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He died at 60 while his wife was pregnant with John Clark.

I hope he learned his lesson....
