So you joined a year ago and one of your only 10 posts is nothing but run on list of BS complaints. You list includes “the transmission is a joke” and you claim “horrible rear A/C circulation”, which doesn’t even make sense. The only joke here is your post, you sound like someone who is desperate for attention. As an owner of the same truck I can tell you first hand that you’re full of sh*t.

The gray interior paint doesn’t chip unless it is impacted by an object or chemical damage. Same with the body panels, they’re thicker and more dent resistant than steel. It’s apparent that you have no clue how to properly take care of a vehicle; you damage it and then blame the manufacturer. That’s pathetic.

Your infotainment system issues are caused by your device. They’re all built the same, the variable is what you’re pairing to it. So once again you’re inducing issues and blaming someone else because you apparently have issue with taking personal accountability.

You claim “solenoid sensor failure” which isn’t even an actual component. You’re making it up as you go; talking out of your a$$.

I’ve never said this but I honestly feel bad for your dealership. I can just imagine you walking in there with impact damage all over your truck claiming they should fix it for free because “sOdA cAn bOdY pAneLz!!!”. Never mind the other fabricated and downright ridiculous claims you’re made. I can only imagine the RO, “customer claims solenoid sensor failure”. :facepalm:

Love to see pics of the V70r! Sweet rides.

Tempted to trade the '18 for a '21 and cross my fingers. Not really many other daily drivers I am interested in.

AMB is an awesome color or the Code Orange, going to be tough to get one, but they are out there. Definitely trade that puppy in, take better care of your new one, lol.

The rear AC just doesn't cool very quick in the heat of summer. Its a common complaint I have heard from other owners and passengers. Not a deal breaker but annoying. The new Bronco is the same. The transmission is known to be less than ideal. Pretty common knowledge. Again, not a deal breaker but Ford could do a better job.

You honestly think the aluminum body panels are more dent resistant than steel? Not even gonna touch that one. Also, I never said the exterior paint chipped. Just not a great paint job but thats true of a lot of factory paint.

I don't connect my device. So no, that's not the issue with infotainment.

I can scan in the dealer paper work. It was a wire to solenoid and a cam position sensor. Sorry if I didn't get the description perfect, not a mechanic.

Never asked the dealership to fix any body panels or trim. Fixed myself. Some of the trim wasn't even completely coated in paint. I replaced all of them with carbon fiber anyways. Also, never asked for loaner since we have other vehicles. My service advisor said I was the most patient customer ever. They probably love me, lots of work they can bill Ford for. You must not know how dealers work.

Not sure what your beef is. I was simply venting and you feel the need to call me pathetic, liar, fos, desperate for attention and someone who cant care for his vehicles. You seem unhappy. Maybe talk to someone? Not really normal behavior.

Okay, so maybe this is a bit stirring the pot but I honestly think Ford has made a hunk of junk. Issues since purchased new '18:
1. Cam phaser repair #1
2. Cam phaser solenoid replacement
3. Cam phaser repair #2
4. Sunroof replacement
5. Rear door handle falling off
6. Front interior door panel loose
7. Gray paint trim chipping everywhere. Also generally poor quality/coverage trim paint on interior
8. Rear camera failure
9. Aluminum body is basically a soda can. Dont sneeze on it or it dents. Poor quality exterior paint.
10. Terrible interior insulation. Loud road noise in comparison to Trx
11. Horrible rear a/c circulation. Rear passengers always complain
12. The transmission is a joke.
13. Horn went out.
14. Noisy front hub, replaced
15. Solenoid sensor failure
16. Door weather stripping falling off
17. Glove box doesn't close properly
18. Rear seatbelt mechanism failure, replaced
19. Stupid but annoying, the radio changes sources randomly. So sometimes when I start it will be on am or fm even though I always leave it on xm
20. Infotainment unit has frozen about 2 dozen times when driving. Have to do the force restart.
21. One more. The dealership experience.

At least they command a premium on the used market!
Sorry to hear you’re having so many problems. I have a GEN 1 zero issues and my 2020 Gen 2 only has one issue, it was the front camera. They replaced it the month I got it has worked fine. The only other annoying issue I have, is some sunroof rubbing noises but I haven’t taken it in yet

Good to hear. My sunroof would get stuck closed.

'21 in amb with the 37 package looks pretty sweet if I can get my dealer to find one!

The rear A/C cools the rear of the truck just fine, especially on high. What is “less than ideal” about the transmission? It does exactly what it’s intended to do. Your BS nitpicking doesn’t constitute an actual issue.

Nobody is here to read about you “venting” about your personal problems and made up issues. If you had a legitimate concern, people on here including myself are here to help. But when your entire post consists of a b*tch fest of ridiculous complaints, you’re clearly just looking for attention.

The transmission is everything except a joke , may be one of the best whit the german ZF8, so, strange you say that . Otherwise, some of your points are may be not false but remember that it's not a Mercedes , it's an utilty truck, of course a luxurious one , but a truck...

You can minimize some of the items if you want. Some are gripes or maybe just relevant to my me. Regardless, having cam phaser replaced twice and a cam solenoid is not a ridiculous complaint. That is weeks in the shop.

Feel free to go elsewhere, nobody forcing you to respond. Go on pretending it is the world's greatest truck.
