mine's a daily drive. i'm conflicted because i love the raptor. i really do. best thing i've bought. but to be honest an xlt f150 is a better daily driver than the raptor.

hear me out on this:

the f150 (5L) is silky smooth and can be one-handed around town while you drink from your coffee cup whereas the raptor is a rougher yet awesomer ride.

both are nice and comfy but the f150 has more of a sofa feel to it - just the thing for driving to/from work half asleep. the raptor wakes you up because of all the adrenalin.

if some ***** smashes it at work or at the shops, meh, it's just a f150 whereas with the raptor it is you duty to hit them with a crowbar.

it gets no attention from the cops (that's not really a problem here but in most other places it can be a hassle).

You don't have everybody gawking at you at every set of lights trying to see who's driving the raptor - i enjoy just an occasional nose pick or bum scratch and find it difficult in the raptor.

you will have no ***** steal your raptor badges (again not such a problem here but back home it'd be a problem).

and a f150 will save you hundreds in speeding fines.

do what we did and sell 2 cars to get a f150 and a raptor. that way you get the best of both.

I've had my Raptor for 10 months and just hit 19,000 miles. Does that qualify as a daily driver?

Actually, I didn't intend it to be a daily driver. As someone else said earlier, it was an impulse buy, to be a fun weekend toy, etc. However, the E55 has been sitting in the garage for most of the past 10 months. Probably only put 3000 miles on it since I got the Raptor.

I effing love my Raptor!

Gas, gas, gas. Keep your foot out of it and you'll be okay. I've got 51,000mi on my 2010 and average 14mpg on the road.

As far as comfort difference between SVT and standard, I don't know what these guys are talking about. The ride isn't rough or uncomfortable. I had a 2004 XLT before this and there is very little difference on the road (except for the urge to speed and race of course)
