Cool what do they do there? I am about to retire from the military (next May 2011) just asking maybe I can get a job out there or something.

DFG great question and tons of jobs basically all the depots, APS sites, AFSB / BLST fall under Army Sustainment command which is the HQ here at Rock Island. We are transitioning to be the DISCOM for the Army we are in the process of taking over all the DOL at all the bases as well. In addition we do all the RESET, Reconstitution for returning units, to include ammo / weapons / C4ISR / aviation etc... Lots and lots of logistics planning. Commander is MG Fontaine, our higher Command is AMC Gen Dunwoody. Not a bad place to work lots of opportunity. 1st Army will be moving here next year as well.
