Just bought a 2012 Raptor and I'm wondering what driving characteristics I'd be looking for to tell if I need my shocks rebuilt or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Truck feels like it floats
Shocks are weeping fluid or shock is all black and covered what looks like grease

Aren't raptors supposed to float down the road? I'm on mid perch and it floats a little but nothing that causes swerving or lack of control. The shocks are definitely not leaking cuz they're nice and clean.

no ride should feel firm.

Shocks if pavement only are 60K. If used like the truck was intended 30-40K max.

These are a wear item and more so than car shocks. Comes down to mileage and use. If they are not leaking and you are not at 80K plus then you ok for a while. All info we have is from FOX sheet and what we have seen.

just an idea shipping shocks might save a bit if who has them is posted and who need's them is posted then they can be shipped to who need's them next. If that would be to confusing just ignore me lol.

Is this for front only or rears too? I might need my rears redone depending on how long FORD thinks they'll be keeping my truck to cover it under warranty...
