[QUOTE="911 Crazy, post:
4) Just how many people under 70 with NO preexisting conditions do you know that has contracted CV?
Over 20 and 3 that have died. All deaths were over 65.[/QUOTE]

I just might be lucky as even in the healthcare industry here in Maine, I have not run into anyone who even knows of a positive case. But we only have barely 1 million residents and plenty of out door activities. I will count myself lucky.

By mid-September things should be cooling down, temperature-wise, and I'm hoping we can roll with the windows down for most of it. Air flow and air exchange is big. In other good news, those hairdressers in Missouri that exposed 140 people? None got it because everyone wore masks and they were following a safety protocol, doing wipe downs and such. A little bit of responsible behavior on everyone's part can prevent another shutdown, the only tool our incompetent government knows how to wield. And we really, really don't want to do that again.

So final thought and its all raptor assault posts from me from here on...

Our most recent outbreak came from a group that went to Myrtle Beach. Came back and people around them started getting sick. Here they were asymptomatic positives most likely exposed at myrtle. An area that only had a handful of cases since march now has almost 100 new cases within a few weeks. Though they were asymptomatic, Im willing to bet some of those 100 new positive cases are not! And likely atleast 1 or 2 will be very unlucky!

Its because of the me myself and I mentality and carelessness that the pandemic is what it is in this country. The mind frame of "well I AM HEALTHY, or I am under a certain age, so if I get it I will be fine." Is not the way to think.

It needs to be "If I get it or If I am an asymptomatic carrier and expose/infect loved ones, co workers, raptor assault attendees ;), or anyone im around.. how will it affect them and their loved ones?

Thinking like that would result in people being more conscientious around others and use of ppe when in public. Just a few months of that thinking and action would slow this whole thing down and help this country get back on track sooner than later. But I know thats all wishful thinking.

So with that said, for all of you traveling and attending the course in coming weeks and months stay safe, healthy, and hope you enjoy the class!

We have never quarantined healthy people in all of history. And kept them from making a living. Ridiculous.

I understand and agree this should have all been handled differently. The focus has been taken away from what we need to be doing as responsible Americans to keep everyone safe and healthy, while ensuring the country thrives. Instead it has become more of a political power struggle and blame game.

You would think something of this magnitude would pull the polital parties and country together for once. But... not so much!

I’m afraid those days of working together are long gone.

I love my son and wife way too much to be so selfish as to risk exposing them simply to attend RA. At the end of the day, I'll learn how to use the truck without some stuck up organization that thinks they are such hot shit they can ignore the pandemic. I hope they adjust their attitude and allow an extension of the 1-year, then I'll probably attend, otherwise, life goes on.

Oh, and also, I'd have to stay away from work for 14 days if I go out of state.
