We just purchased a 2019 Raptor. My son and I both drive the truck and were hoping to, BOTH, attend the school. However, I was informed that it is ONLY 1 driver per VIN number and you can't pay for the 2nd driver, even though we both drive the truck.

Has anybody figured out a way to get around this? I really feel this would be extremely beneficial for my son to learn how to drive the Raptor the "right way". And, I could use the experience as well.

Appreciate any input.

Thanks.

I’m “thinking” the same thing. If there is no work around I think we are going to take a vacation out there next year and I will surprise my boy with the school.

My concern is since you are paired up with another driver I don’t want to inconvenience someone else’s experience since my boy will only be 16 and not have a lot of driving experience.

I agree. However, I have no issue paying for him to participate as well as me. Not sure he and I would need to be in the same truck either. I just think it should be open for 2 people (1 paid and 1 free) since I would guess many couples would want to learn how to drive the truck together.

There is no way other than buying another truck.

1 vin, 1 raptor assault ticket.

One of you go through the class, then you become the "instructor" for the other. You can use GPS so you know what trails they use outside of the complex, you just won't be able to do the short track, and obstacles they use in the class. Foot on brake and drive while going up. Enjoy.

Not to knock you expectations, but Ford doesn't even owe us a class at all....let alone other options...
It's your truck, you go to the class and then enjoy spending real quality time off roading with him as Pilot...
I did the same (but no Raptor) when my son was in early teens and it was great....:)

Not even all Raptor Owners can get in the class. When we were out there they told us only 16% of Raptor Owners took the class, some due to Class capacity. They increased the size of the Class this year so that should help.

I agree with you. If I had a kid I'd want to take him too, but I think the above is the driving force in Ford only allowing one driver per VIN to take the Class.

Just purchased a new 2018 a few months ago. Just curious, does Ford send out literature or some form of invite for the class, or do you just have to know that it's available and contact them? I wonder if you have to purchase a 2019 at this point based upon limited capacity. Would be good to know. I would love to include my new driver (son) as well - such is life.
