RAPTOR ASSAULT INSURANCE?

I bought the insurance when I went, I remember it being $30. Inquire with your regular insurance company. My insurance would cover me as if I was driving a rental.

The guy in the indoctrination video ends with the words "Have fun and drive it like you stole it." The lead instructor said he hated that line .

Thanks for the info. I will call State Farm this week. $30 seems reasonable for a one day event. $90 seems overpriced.

I went last year and loved it. I checked with my insurance agent, Allstate, and he confirmed my policy covered me as long as “it’s not a race on a professional race track”
Thus, I didn’t get it. I’m retired and $90 is still better in my pocket than someone else’s.
Bottom line is do whatever makes you feel good. I agree with all the comments “you have to be an idiot or dufuss” to FU the truck.

In my opinion it's not worth it. First off, you drive in a straight line so the guys on here that say they "push it", I don't understand how. Also, the instructors do not let you "push it", they are in control the whole time. My co-driver went a little too fast in the Baja part of the course and didn't slow up at the end and the instructors almost threw us out the rest of the day if we didn't follow his instructions. The only way to wreck the truck is if you drive it off a cliff, other than that you will not wreck it as long as you follow what they tell you.

Tangent question, is the host hotel worth staying at? I like to go go go when someplace new, so I’m thinking of staying near the airport as there are way more things to do/places to eat in SLC than in Tooele.

My insurance covers me for leased vehicles and/or other vehicles for training by professional instructors. As long as it's in a controlled environment, which this is.

I have read that some members had no clue about the Raptor Assault program. So I guess Ford doesn’t mail it to every new Raptor owner? I have only owned my new Raptor for a month and a half.

Stay in Salt Lake. Not Tooele or near the airport. More places to eat and things to do. It’s not a long drive to the RA classroom.
