Agreed with skipping the welcome dinner. Just go early on the driving day if you want to mingle with the attendees or instructor. My biggest takeaways from the class was how to use the rock crawl mode and 1 pedal driving. I got a lot of dumb questions answered which is cool.

I wouldn't pay for the non driving guest experience or driving guest experience. Overall I thought it was worthwhile and would recommend.

Also learned the only "upgrade" on their Raptor is the Ford Performance diff cover and they highly recommend it.

I ended up doing it. Going out July 21-22nd. Making a week long mountain bike trip out of it too.

The courses are short and you never really go full throttle. Even the "jump" was pretty weak sauce. If you do anything crazy they will pull you from the course. One of the guys peeled out a little bit and got a firm chat and almost got pulled. It is a very tame and controlled environment.

I think the insurance is not needed given the circumstances and as long as you follow their instructions, you'll never be real danger of damaging the car. But I'm sure there is always that one guy.

I also would not pay for the road keeper. If anything bring you own micro SD card and stick it in the road keeper since there isn't ever an instructor in the car with you.
