Jay went with a different mounting location. It does touch a coil pack but he puts a rubber cover on the bottom of the can to keep from damaging anything. The GT500 guys have this same rubber cover. Pricing will be around $120. I think this is the best mounting option yet.

hmm any better angled pics to see the actual bottom of the can and the rubber cover?

does this location make it more difficult to remove the can safely without any spillage?

It might be ok in the GT500, but what about for the guys that are hard core off roading? a street driven GT500 will not have as much movement. I would be worried about it going up and down and generally moving too much if it wasn't actually mounted in the engine bay. Might want to ask them about that part.

^^ very good point. i think a bracket mount and having good clearance is important for this type of rig

I asked him about that and it shouldn't be an issue. It really doesn't move around much. He uses the factory hard plastic lines which have some play just not as much as rubber. I'll get some better pics of the rubber cap when I get the time. Maybe he will let one of you guys test one that regularly hardcore offroad just to be safe? I'll run it by him.

A good solid mount is going to be important. TRR will be a good test, the trucks get beat up running around that track. Many people had problems with aftermarket air intakes that they thought where solid... something to keep in mind.

I have been working with JLT, friend of mine, and here are some pics of what he came up with. Clamps will be different.

I like this mounting better than the last.
I would just invert the bracket, mount can on underside.
That would raise the can for better routing of the hoses and easier servicability.
May have to mount an 45* or 90* elbow
on the opposite side.

Updates? Can we still order the bracket style one if we don't want the one that going to bounce on top of the coil pack? Is there a drivers side one coming out?

I know someone ask about the driver's side PCV valve.
I haven't seen an answer or did I miss it?

There is a PCV valve on both sides, could you route two hoses into one can and would the vacuum be enough from one suction port?
Or are we going to have to buy two of these things?
