Same with my neighbor. His was ordered on October 11, he was 10th in the priority list at the dealer, and it is now sitting in his driveway.

Happy for you both, but Ford needs to hire someone from UPS or FedEx to get their logistics together.

I was just being a smart ass as I'm sure you can tell. The whole process makes no since. All I can tell everyone is the truck is definitely worth the wait no matter what vehicle your trading in including GEN1s. Just gotta be patient cause by the evidence Ford doesn't give a shit but they have the market cornered right now.

For what it is worth, a friend of mine in Dearborn said the issue was not due to durability. He said it was something related to an electronic calibration related to suspension. He said all vehicles needed to be "tweaked" prior to shipment.

There is nothing electronic about the suspension...Your friend is mistaken and most of the trucks were actually being held up because the transmissions needed reprogrammed then tested.

I hear ya! All I can do is vote with my wallet. Still going to keep the Raptor (as much as I hate giving $ to Ford right now), but wife needs a replacement Expedition for her current Expedition. I said, "no chance", so we will be buying another brand.

Agreed to get it "right". Key issue is why are they released for shipment on 12/16 and still in Dearborn. Trucks built after 12/16 are parked in driveways and garages.

a lot of things are like this with regards to special ordering things. It doesnt mean you get it first. It means you get what you want. Ford builds ordered, and regular stock vehicles at the same time. who gets what first isn't determined by order date.

same thing in the snowmobile world. You spring check your special order sled, and usually get it after people who walk into a dealer to buy one off the floor gets theirs. Way it is. Deal with it.

This is purely a logistics issue. Ford needs to get thier stuff together and ship the early builds as a top priority.

There ya go. This is the issue. Nothing else. Everyone saying be happy you're getting a truck that's right, be patient, blah blah. All legit responses, a month ago.

The real issue here is, as far as we know, based on multiple sources is that the early builds needed some fix to remedy an issue. That remedy has been identified and retrofits have been done. Period.

New trucks rolling off the line have the remedy built into their production so no retrofit is necessary.

The problem is there's a shit load of trucks sitting in a lot that can't go anywhere because they are boxed in due to no FIFO process. Ford needs some remedial training for their logistics folks.

That is what I am pissed about. Nothing else. I have no issues waiting as long as necessary for Ford to make sure my truck is right and delivered. Again, as far as we know the trucks are good to go. Whats not good to go is apparently Ford has no way of putting a pause, or using second location for the newly produced trucks to sit long enough to allow them to clear the lot and get those older trucks moved up and shipped out. Or use an alternate source for delivery outside of their normal rail/convoy partners. That's the bottom line here, none of the other crap applies.

All that said, I'll be very happy when my truck arrives.

You nailed it. I want the truck built right and don't mind waiting for it to be right. I think, however, Ford is ******** people who committed early and ordered early (resulting in early builds). The people who committed early are getting screwed by a crappy Ford logistics process. Not sure why more people on this forum don't see how what Ford is doing is wrong (maybe they aren't personally impacted). Perhaps Ford has no other way to internally address this issue, but at least COMMUNICATE and maybe find a token way to throw some goodwill to people who ordered early who are now impacted by their logistics practices.

If mine showed some f-ing movement, I might feel the same as you. Having it still sit on "area 59" is pure ********.
