My truck and the messages I get.
Seems like it will be on dark mode until I put it in gear, then changes to day.
This is the 1st forum I’ve been on. Trying to learn how this works

Have you tried turning off the Automatic Systems Update in the Vehicle Settings Screen? For your dark mode, there is a setting for that in the Display section, if it is set to Auto, it'll change between Day mode and dark mode depending on the amount of light outside.
