Not as nice as some of the other options posted in this thread, but here's my setup. I am doing a similar antenna setup on the driver's side for a GPRS (Midland MXT105) unit as well.

Love the mount over the rear brake light, however I park in a garage and that won't clear the roof. The stock radio antenna just about clears my garage so all other antennas have to be that height or below in my case.

Perfect location! did you have any issues getting the radio wired?

The radio was pretty easy. The gps was a major pain though.

The antenna just screws on to the mount.

Picked up this cool magnetic mic hang up from pci. I was set on making one on my own until I saw this on the pci Facebook. It's a little pricey at $35 but it's pretty cool and I like pci and they're always having sales. The mount is supposed to require drilling but I'm going to try some 3m strips instead.

Nice. You can also get a "CB keeper" that serves the same purpose (and it a lot cheaper). I usually hang it up to the passenger sun visor.

Here's where I did my mic mount. It's an easy place to grab it if you're driving, the wire doesn't get in the way, and it's kinda stealthy when you're not running the mic. We'll see how it holds up in the desert.
