Was just thinking the same. Side racks would be nice

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep it was the third item we built. didn't think there would be any interested

Strength testing was fairly practical and one of the ways we did it was by installing two nut serts, one on each side, of an ammo can, and cranking down on it with a 1'' ratchet strap, till I thought the stap was going to break, it held. We also tried ripping the ammo can off the rack, by trying to pry it off with a board. Did this 3 times 3 different guys, same set of (JUST 2) nut serts, still held. You won't see those forces offroad, unless you're rolling, keep the shiny side up guys.

I have some prototype parts for the slideout , but we need to sell a few regular ones first before I can begin working on that....

I believe the weight for the aluminum version is around 40-50lbs, I'll get a weight today. Price will be ~$100 more, but standy on that. Its all about quantities ordered. If we get orders (deposits),we'll build it (as long as its in our "plan").

If you're waiting till you "see" it, you may be waiting awhile.

Any chance on a section that could be welded (by purchaser) onto the rear facing tube of your 2 tire rack? This would allow some of us to retain our existing purchase and still get the mount point flexibility of your new system :)

Not sure what you mean, But I'm pretty badass, pretty sure if you sent me the rack I could get it done.

I'm not going to be doing too much of that, were really trying to move away from custom fab. It's not profitable. But to get these racks rolling, I'm willing to work with you guys.

Would you be able to put a teaser list of future add-ons?

Obviously no worries if you can't for whatever reason.

As far as offroad goes, I've got one those crazy big bed racks that I build a bunch of planned.

But most of the upcoming items are construction /fleet vehicle related. Tool boxes and ladder racks, things of that nature.

I probably won't do a dog carrier, as this can be purchased for pretty cheap, and strapped down using the ratchet strap mounts. I've got a pic of that on Facebook with all my hunting gear laid out , and my dog In the carrier.

I'm talking about a section that could be attached to the bottom loop of your 2 tire rack to extend the rack all the way to the end of the bed with your new system.

I love the Rack product. I think it fills a huge gap in the truck bed storage and tie down market. However, for me and others who may not need an entire bed rack with full accessories, would it be possible to make a smaller vertical piece that would attach to the front of the bed, behind the cab? In fact, maybe you can design a bracket that would utilize the tailgate rack and secure it to the opposite end. You wouldn't need to redesign a new piece. The tailgate rack could be installed either on the tailgate, or the opposite end, against the bed, under the rear window.

The thing is, I need a place to secure my Powertank and Hi-Lift jack as well as a few other odds and ends and would rather not drill multiple holes into the bed. Having something like this on the bed permanently attached, would allow me to secure several things onto the rack, without drilling more holes into the bed. I could also configure it the way I want depending on how many things I'm taking. Maybe a fastening system that would allow the rack to "hang" from the edge of the bed, sort of like a shoe or clothes organizer rack with a hanger hangs behind door. I guess you'd have to make it adjustable, or with several plastic or rubber inserts to accommodate for thickness of different bed liners. The bottom could be fastened with two screws/bolts?

Possible? Not possible? Custom job?

Basically just a half version?

That's already a plan, especially for guys who carry dirtbikes. I haven't built any yet, but a couple guys already requested that. I guess I don't follow you on the "Hanging off the bed" idea though. Sketch me something up, and I'll let you know if it's something I want to pursue.

Would anybody be interested in a wall mount for your garage? With bolt on shelves, and tool organizers? It'd be slightly less heavy duty, keep the price reasonable . I've already built a miniature version for holding your rack: one accessories, when they aren't in the truck.

YES!!! Great idea! I just insulated and blue boarded my garage and was looking for a system to hang different shelves and other garage stuff. I was going to go with a stallwall product but this might be better
